Why is this better than a poll in the group chat?

A poll asks about one date at a time and then scrolls away, and it cannot tell you why Thursday is out. Here every date is on the table at once, the reason stays attached to the date it belongs to, the link still works next week, and the day you settle on goes straight into everyone's calendar.

Do my friends need an account?

No. They open the link in the invitation and answer straight away. Opening that link quietly confirms their email address, so if they ever come back the app already knows who they are - but they never fill in a sign-up form.

Why is there no password field?

Because there is no password. You sign in with a passkey, which your device unlocks with Face ID, Touch ID or your fingerprint, or with a one-time link we email you. A password we never store is a password that can never be stolen from us.

What if my passkey stops working?

Ask for a sign-in link on the login screen. It arrives by email, works once, and expires after fifteen minutes. From there you can set up a new passkey and remove the old one.

Will you email me a lot?

Only what you ask for. The invitation is the one email that always goes out, because it is how you learn a get-together exists. Reminders, the "we picked a date" announcement and answer notifications are all off until you switch them on.

Can I get this into my calendar?

Yes, in two ways. Download the date as a calendar file, which works in Apple Calendar, Google Calendar and Outlook, or subscribe once to your personal feed and every get-together you are part of appears - and updates itself if the date moves.

Can people suggest where to meet?

If you leave that switched on, yes. Anyone can put a place forward with a link or an address, and the others can back the ones they like. You decide which one it ends up being.

What happens to my data?

It stays yours. We store what the app needs to work - your name, your email address, the get-togethers you are part of and your answers - and nothing else. Delete your account and it all goes with it.
